Self Evaluation

When i first started the course I was under the impression that we would be sewing and doing more of the physical production work. I thought maybe it would be more of a variety of design work. I came on this course because it was always my goal to get the best education and I always heard well about LCF. I enjoyed so much of my life through out the course I feel like I have grown so much through this time. I enjoyed my new Independence; I have a new sense of responsibility that I feel over my education and overall lifestyle. Also growing in my design skills like working on variations of design and creativity I now push further with my ideas and see no limits. Over the course I now have a better and more clear explanation of my idea through areas of research and development. Along with being able to be relaxed and less strict of my sketching style. Before I had a more traditional and generic sense of sketching and almost just displaying my idea, I have now learned to be more organic about my sketches and ideas. This project went very well I think partly was because I wasn’t afraid about messing up and perfect I genuinely wanted to enjoy my work and really accomplish my vision. I learned about how to my manage my time and how to consistently create ideas. I feel prepared for October I would say that I have developed a discipline for myself that allows me to manage my time well. I now know how to develop good research pages along with an developing idea that can have different perspectives. Also being able to use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop efficiently. I am overall pretty happy with my project I feel that I accomplished what I imagined it to be. I think if I had more time I would be able to focus more on the details that I believe would push it further, such as making better sample pieces. I would also perfect my final lineup I would commit to the look and take more time on each. I am happy with my portfolio it has the right amount of process, character, and my best execution. I am happy with who I am since I have started the course I view myself in a new light and am excited to continue in the fall.
